What is Status?
Imagine your company rents offices in eight cities. Each one has a lease — a big stack of paper full of dates and rules. Miss one date, and it can cost millions. Keeping track of all of it is a lot.
Status does the keeping-track for you. It reads the paperwork, watches every important date, and checks how each office is really doing. Then it tells you, in plain words, what needs your attention today.

Big decisions ask you to type the building's name first, so nothing irreversible happens by accident.
The list is sorted by "what's on fire" — never alphabetically.Each deal or project lives in a browser-style tab with a little colored dot: green is calm, gold means watch, red means act. One project fills the screen at a time, and it always shows its One Driver — the single thing that matters on it right now.
Press ⌘⇧T to see only the red ones. Clear them all and you get a tiny celebration.How your spaces are really doing. Start at the top with one headline, glide down to see what's pushing scores up or down, and land on the raw evidence — each layer is one click deeper. Real estate loves big words. Here's the secret decoder ring — every term in Status, explained like you'd tell a friend.
- Lease
- The deal your company signed to rent a space. It says how much you pay, for how long, and the rules.
- Portfolio
- All the spaces your company rents, counted together as one family.
- Option window
- A short stretch of time when you're allowed to extend (or leave) a lease. Miss it, and the choice disappears — forever. This is why Sentry exists.
- Notice period
- How far ahead you must tell a landlord your plans. Often a whole year! Status counts backward for you and shows the real decision date.
- Setting
- One project in Experience Setting — like renewing the New York office. Each Setting gets its own tab.
- One Driver
- The single most important thing on a project right now. One sentence. One action. Never a wall of alerts.
- TWS
- "Time Well Spent" — a 0-to-100 score for how well an office serves its people. A full office with a low TWS is not a win.
- Setting drift
- When a space slowly stops matching its design — like a coffee corner that got removed, and suddenly nobody gathers anymore.
- Baseline
- Your portfolio's full picture, assembled and trustworthy. Status builds yours in days, not months.
- Hypothesis
- Your theory about what would fix something — "if we bring the coffee back, people will too." Status helps you actually test it.
- Utilization
- How much a space actually gets used. Useful context — but never the whole story.
- Triage
- A view that shows only what's urgent, so nothing critical can hide. From the French for "sorting" — like an emergency room for deadlines.
